New Machine At China World Showcase

Wednesday, March 29th, 2017

A third machine has been put on-stage in the China World Showcase at EPCOT. This new machine has four designs with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald. The Mickey and Minnie designs have the word "CHINA" on them and the other two designs with Goofy and Donald have a small Mickey / Disney World design with a China theme. All four of the Disney characters are wearing China attire.

Wreck-It Ralph Machines Moved Again

Tuesday, March 21st, 2017

Two months ago we reported that the two Wreck-It Ralph machines had been moved from inside DisneyQuest to the lobby where you could get to the machines without buying an admission ticket. These two machines have been moved again and they are now inside the DisneyQuest Emporium gift shop.

New Additional Location Signs Appear On Machines

Thursday, March 2nd, 2017

We have noticed that the old signs are being removed from the machines directing guests to the vendor's website for additional machine locations and for reporting problems with a machine. The phone number remains the same to text whatever machine number to report a problem but the small sign now has to go to disneyworld.com/coinpresses or search "coin press" if you have the My Disney Experience app on your iPhone or Android cellphone.

New Machine Info Signs

Of course we still think we have the most accurate location and coin information along with search tools and hard copy listings that neither the vendor nor Disney has. As far as the Disney website or the information in the My Disney Experience app only location information is given. It does not have anymore details like how many machines are at a location, additional location details or what designs are at a location. Some guests may find the Disney phone app useful if they are not familiar with Disney World and would rather use a phone app that has the pressed coin machines on an interactive map on their phone instead of looking at a hardcopy map that you can get when entering the parks.

Celebrity 5 & 10 Machine Currently Off-Stage

Thursday, March 2nd, 2017

Due to construction and refurbishment of the Darkroom and Cover Story at Hollywood Studios there is now a construction wall right where the Celebrity 5 & 10 machine was located at. The machine could still be located near the same spot on the other side of the construction wall but there is no way to get to this machine. The construction is supposed to be completed and the area reopened on March 24, 2017. So until that time it appears that the Celebrity 5 & 10 machine is off-stage until the refurbishment is completed.

Two More Machines At Disney's Pin Traders

Thursday, March 2nd, 2017

A machine from Hollywood Studios Prop Shop and the three dies from the Eurolink hand crank machine previously located at Pizza Planet have been put on-stage at Disney's Pin Traders at Disney Springs. The machine originally located at the Prop Shop had Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl from The Incredibles series and a third design with Olaf from the Disney movie Frozen. The three dies from the hand crank machine previously located inside Pizza Planet are very old designs and have now been put in an electric machine. The designs are Classic Mickey Mouse, Donald's face with rays and Pluto's face.

One thing that is interesting is the same Olaf design is now in two different machines at Pin Traders. This is the first time in the history of Disney World elongated coins that we can remember where the same design has been in multiple machines at the same location. This Olaf design is also the button "C" selection for both machines.

Innoventions West Machine Removed

Tuesday, February 7th, 2017

Both of the Innoventions buildings at EPCOT are basically closed. The Innoventions East building still has a pressed penny machine near the entrance door that leads to Colortopia which is the only attraction in this building. This entrance door is on the Test Track side and across from Mouse Gear. The machine is located to the left as you enter the doors.

The only thing at Innoventions West is the Baymax character meet and greet. The rest of the areas inside the building have been blocked off. The 4-die hand crank pressed penny machine that was at this location is no longer there.

Pioneer Hall Machine Retired

Tuesday, February 7th, 2017

Several weeks ago we noticed that the 4-die machine on the walkway close to Pioneer Hall at Ft. Wilderness Campground had been removed. Most of the time when this happens the machine is just out for refurbishment. We usually don't put anything on our website when we think a machine is out for refurbishment since it's usually not gone very long.

After doing a little more research we noticed something very interesting with how the new Disney Springs machine that we recently reported looked just like the Pioneer Hall machine that was removed.

It is our opinion that the machine at Pioneer Hall was removed for refurbishment. However, instead of the machine just being repainted, refurbished and returned the dies and faceplates were also replaced and the machine was moved to a different location. Assuming that this is what was done then the four designs in the Pioneer Hall machine are now retired. Our next update will show the Pioneer Hall machine as being removed and the four designs in this machine as retired.

A Machine Is Back At Island Supply

Wednesday, January 25th, 2017

About a month ago a cabinet with two machines and a coin changer was removed from the Verandah Breezeway outside Island Supply at Magic Kingdom. At this same location a new cabinet with one of the machines and the coin changer has been put back on-stage.

The machine that is now back on-stage had a 2016 design in the button "A" position. This design has been replaced with a design with Grumpy that was removed from the button "C" position at Sir Mickey's in June 2014. The other two designs that were in this machine with Olaf and Jungle Cruise are still the same designs.

The changer that was in the dual machine cabinet was different then most coin changers since it dispensed two pennies for every dollar. The coin changer in this new cabinet still dispenses two shinny new pennies for every dollar.

Wreck-It Ralph Machines Moved

Sunday, January 15th, 2017

The two Wreck-It Ralph machines inside Disney Quest at Disney Springs have been moved. These machines in the past were difficult to get to because you needed a ticket since the machines were located inside of Disney Quest. Both Wreck-It Ralph Machines have been moved to the lobby of Disney Quest which will allow getting any of these six designs without having a ticket. The machines are now located to the right as you enter the Disney Quest lobby.

New Disney Springs Machine

Sunday, January 15th, 2017

A new 4-die hand crank machine has been put on-stage at Disney Springs. This machine is located behind the seating on the right side of Waterside Stage which is near the World of Disney Store. The new designs are Lilo & Stitch, Mickey & Pluto, Winnie the Pooh characters and Donald with Mickey ears. All four designs are vertical designs with the Disney Springs logo at the top.
