All listings and checklists were updated today. There were no new designs added and no designs removed since the last listings were published in February. There were several changes made to reflect a few store name changes and notations made to indicate machines that are back on-stage or are now off-stage.

On February 25th Disney’s Wide World of Sports name was changed to ESPN Wide World of Sports. Along with all the changes that were being made, the store D-Sports that sold sports merchandise was remodeled. We didn’t know what would happen to the 3 die pressed penny machine located at this store when it reopened since it contain designs with the old name.

We have just been contacted by another collector telling us that the machine is back and it still has the same dies with the old name.

We have just noticed that our database is missing six designs from Disney Resorts with characters from the Snow White movie. The designs that are missing are Bashful, Doc, Happy, Sleepy, Sneezy and the Wicked Witch. All designs with one of the Seven Dwarfs are vertical designs with the name of the dwarf at the top. The Wicked Witch design is a horizontal design.

These designs are similar to the designs that were available at Magic Kingdom around the same time. These do not have “Magic Kingdom” on them, but they do have the name of the dwarf at the top.

It is not known when these designs were available or what resorts they were at. All of these designs were probably retired prior to the year 2000.

Since we assign catalog numbers sequentially, these have been added to the end of our database with the next available resort catalog number.

We have been contacted by another collector saying the machine at Typhoon Lagoon is finally back. This machine was removed shortly after Typhoon Lagoon reopened last year in March after their normal annual refurbishment. The machine was supposed to be returned several months prior to Typhoon Lagoon closing for refurbishment on October 30, 2009, but this didn’t happen. We were really expecting the machine to be there when Typhoon Lagoon reopened this year on January 10, but it still wasn’t back the first part of February when we checked the machines at Disney World. Hopefully, this machine is looking good and is working well after being gone for so long.

Information about the four new dime and four new penny designs inside Tomorowland Video Arcade as you exit the Space Mountain ride have been added to our database. Pictures of these eight new designs will be coming soon.

We have received information that there should be 2 new pressed coin machines installed on Friday, January 22, at Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom. If everything goes according to plan, a hand crank penny machine and a hand crank dime machine will be installed. This will be a historic event since this will be the first dime elongated machine at Walt Disney World.
