So far it appears that there will be fifteen new 2017 coins like there were for the last two years. All of the new 2017 coins are in the same locations where the 2016 coins were located with one exception. There is no 2017 coin in the Verandah Breezeway machine outside Island Supply at Magic Kingdom. A 2017 coin is now located in the store Rock Around the Shop at Hollywood Studios.

One thing that is different for 2017 is that there is a numbered series of four designs with a different Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey Mouse design in each of the four Disney World theme parks. Each of these designs has the park icon at the top to indicate which park the design came from along with the Walt Disney World logo and the year of 2017 in large letters at the bottom. For some people this will be an excellent souvenir set to get showing what year they visited Walt Disney World. It would also be an easy set to complete since most people will probably visit all four parks.

Two machines that were at Hollywood Studios and were currently off-stage have been put back on-state inside Disney's Pin Traders at Disney Springs. One machine was located at Pizza Planet and had designs with Violet, Maleficent and Guido. The second machine was located at the Prop Shop and had Frozen movie designs with Anna, Elsa and Olaf.

The two machines by the Duka la Filimu Merchandise Cart near Kilimanjaro Safaris are still in the same location but the store in now called Curiosity Tourism.

The 4-die Buzz Lightyear machine near the Buzz Lightyear Merchandise Cart at Magic Kingdom that has been off-stage for about two months for refurbishment was put back on-stage this week.

A new 8-die machine with designs based on the Star Wars movie The Force Awakens has been placed on-stage at Star Wars Launch Bay at Hollywood Studios.

This machine is the ninth 8-die machine at Walt Disney World with seven of them being installed within the last three months.

There were only two designs remaining at Magic Kingdom that had guns on them and both of them have been removed and replaced with designs that were recently removed from Splashdown Photos.
