The 50th Anniversary Celebration of Walt Disney World began October 1, 2021 and ended December 31, 2022. Most people were guessing that there would be 50 new pressed penny designs. Once everything was completed in October there were 53 new designs. Three extra designs for Disney's Contemporary, Polynesian and Fort Wilderness Campground Resorts were also celebrating 50 years. At the end of March 2022 nine additional designs were placed on-stage for a total of 62 pressed pennies for this celebration. |
