New Caribbean Beach Resort Machine

Monday, October 8th, 2018

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort began a major renovation May 1, 2017. Since that time the two penny machines and one single die quarter machine at Goombay Games Arcade located at the Old Port Royale area of the resort have not been available. The only machine that was available at this resort was a 3-die penny machine located at the Custom House where the hotel registration was located.

Today, Monday October 8, 2018 the Old Port Royale area reopened and instead of the old machines being there the machines have been replaced with an 8-die machine. This new machine is easy to find and is located to the right of the Old Port Royale entrance doors as you enter the building. In addition to this change, the 3-die machine at the Custom House has been removed since this location is no longer available to guests. So now there is only one 8-die machine at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. The three penny machines and the one quarter machine that were located at this resort are all now retired.

Rafiki's Planet Watch Temporarily Closing

Saturday, September 29th, 2018

Rafiki's Planet Watch will be closing October 21, 2018 and will remain closed according to Disney until Spring 2019. This closing will affect three pressed coin machines at Animal Kingdom.

Currently, inside the Conservation Station at Rafiki's Planet Watch is a 3-die machine with 20th Anniversary Animal Kingdom designs. We are expecting these three designs to be retired once Rafiki's Planet Watch closes. Anybody wanting these designs should get them before this area is closed and the machine is removed.

There is also a pressed penny and quarter machine at the Harambe Railway Station where you catch the train to go to Rafiki's Planet Watch. This area will also be closed and these two machines will no longer be available unless they are relocated. We are expecting them to be moved to a different location and if this happens we will make another post where they have been moved to.

Machines Off-Stage

Wednesday, August 1st, 2018

Machines are routinely removed for fixing and refurbishment. Most of the times the machines are only gone for a few weeks but we have noticed that this could take longer.

In checking some of the machines we have noticed that there are currently three machines that are off-stage. Two machines are at EPCOT and they are the Les Halles machine in the France World Showcase with the secret Agent P design and one of the Japan World Showcase machines. The third machine that is currently off-stage is one of the Hollywood Junction machines located at Hollywood Studios.

World of Disney Marvel Machine Relocated

Thursday, July 12th, 2018

Back in February the World of Disney store at Disney Springs began renovation which affected access to the pressed penny machines since half the store was blocked off by construction walls. Recently, the part of the store that was being renovated reopened and the other half is now closed.

The 8-die Marvel machine that was originally placed on-stage at Once Upon a Toy in September 2016 and moved to the World of Disney in July 2017 has been relocated again due to this renovation. This 8-die machine with Marvel character designs is now located at Pin Traders which already has four machines at this store. The World of Disney renovation is not scheduled to be completed until Fall 2018 so we are not sure if this is a temporary move or a permanent move.
