The third Discovery Trading Company machine at Animal Kingdom is back on-stage. The Animal Kingdom 25th Anniversary design that was in this machine has been replaced with a new design that has Huey, Dewey and Louie.

We have updated our listing and checklists. Since January 2024 there has been very little activity with the pressed penny machines at Walt Disney World. There has been six new designs and nine designs put back on-stage.

The 4-die Hollywood Junction machine at Hollywood Studios was changed with four new 35th Hollywood Studios Anniversary designs. Two of the machines at Discovery Trading Company at Animal Kingdom had the 25th Animal Kingdom Anniversary designs removed and replaced with new designs. The third machine at Discovery Trading Company was removed which we believe will eventually be returned. Both of the Disney Character Warehouse stores and the Disney Store on International Drive in Orlando had 3-die machines put in their stores with recently retired designs.

Two new pressed penny designs are now on-stage outside Discovery Trading Company at Animal Kingdom. These two new designs replace the Animal Kingdom 25th Anniversary designs that were in these two machines. One machine has Asha from the Disney movie Wish. The other machine has Mickey with a backpack. Below are pictures of the faceplates for these two machines.

Thirty-five years ago on May 1, 1989, Disney-MGM Studios opened at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The park underwent a name change January 7, 2008, becoming Disney�s Hollywood Studios.

In celebration of the 35th anniversary of this park four new pressed pennies have been put on-stage inside Hollywood Studios at the Hollywood Junction location. This is the same location where the 50th Anniversary of Disney World and the 100 Years of Wonder Celebration coins were located at.

Both of the Disney Character Warehouse stores in Orlando now have a 3-die penny and medallion machine. The two penny machines have designs that were previously on-stage. The two medallion machines have designs from the 100 Years of Wonder Celebration at half the cost of what they were when they were available inside Walt Disney World last year.

Three of the penny designs that are back on stage are the designs that were in a machine near the restrooms at Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom. The other designs were designs from two Disney Stores located inside non-Disney resorts located on Hotel Plaza Boulevard near Disney Springs. One design with Olaf was previously at Disney's Pin Traders at Disney Springs Marketplace.

Below are pictures of the coins that are available at these two Disney Character Warehouse stores. The first image in each set is from the Character Warehouse at Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets on Vineland Avenue. The second set of coins in each image are the coins that are available at Orlando International Premium Outlets on International Drive.

The 3-die machine that was previously located inside the Disney Store at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort that was removed in 2022 is back on-stage. The machine is now located at the Walt Disney Store on International Drive near Sand Lake Road. The three designs are still the same with Mickey and Minnie with Mickey balloons, Mad Hatter and Simba.

A lot has been going on the last 10 days with the pressed coins at Walt Disney World. Last year there were 69 coins for the 100 Years of Wonder Celebration. As of Friday, 01/12/2024, all of these designs have been removed or replaced. Some machines have been removed, dies have been replaced with older retired designs or replaced with new designs.

So far this year there are 59 new unique designs for a total of 60 coins. One design is duplicated and is at two locations. This design has the year 2024 and the logos of Disney World four theme parks. This one design is located at the Main Street Railroad Station and at Disney's Pin Traders at Disney Springs.

As far as the designs that have 2024 there are 23 coins at 14 machines including the design that is duplicated. Also, there is only one 2024 design at a resort this year and it is located at Pop Century Resort.

We have just updated our database with most of the changes and have created a report with the location and coins descriptions of the 2024 designs. Pictures and further updates will be coming soon.
