Database, Listings and Checklists Updated Today

Monday, August 3rd, 2020

Our database and all of our listings and checklists were updated today. Due to Covid-19 we have left the designs for locations that are still closed. It appears as things slowly reopened at Disney World that most of the machines were basically as they were when everything closed March 15, 2020. There were a few machine removals and five new 8-die machines replacing older 3-die machines since our last listings were posted February 2020.

 New Country Bear Jamboree Machine

Tuesday, July 14th, 2020

Usually it takes several months for a new machine to be decided upon and to be placed on-stage. It appears that with the closure of Walt Disney World for almost four months that all the machines that were in the process of being made are now on-stage for the reopening of Disney World.

In addition to the two new 8-die machines at the Emporium there is also a new 8-die machine that replaces the 3-die machine at the Country Bear Jamboree. All eight of the new designs are vertical designs with various Country Bear characters. At the top of each design are the words "COUNTRY BEAR JAMBOREE". The names of all the Country Bear characters are also on each of the eight designs.

These new designs have Brother Ted, Cousin Zeb, Henry & Sammy, Wendell, Liver Lips, Big All, Teddy Barra and Terrence.

 Magic Kingdom Machine Change

Thursday, July 9th, 2020

Disney Springs and some of the Disney World Resorts have already opened to guests after being closed for almost 4 months due to Covid-19. So far from what we have seen most of the pressed coin machines are still available at the same locations assuming that the various locations are open.

In addition to the two new 8-die machines at Magic Kingdom Emporium replacing the two penny and one quarter machines inside this gift shop another machine has been removed at Magic Kingdom which we are assuming is retired. Disney has announced that Splash Mountain that was based on the 1946 movie the Song of the South is going to be changed to a Princess and the Frog theme.

The 3-die penny machine with the characters Brer Vulture, Brer Rabbit and Brer Bear from the Song of the South movie that was located under the Frontierland Railroad Station has already been removed. The 3-die machine located at Splashdown Photos Preview Area and the 8-die machine located in the Splashdown Photos gift shop were still available but we are assuming that these machines will either be changed or removed in the future since they also have designs based on Disney's Song of the South movie.

 4-Die Machine Conversions Have Ended

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020

All of the 4-die machines at Walt Disney World have now been converted to a preloaded zinc penny machine that now cost $1.00 for each design. The Food Truck machine at Disney Springs was the last machine to be converted and it has been placed back on-stage.

The conversion of all the 4-die machines to $1.00 preloaded zinc penny machines began April 2019 with the removal of the Tomorrowland Speedway machine and has ended with the Food Truck machine. During this conversion some 4-die machines were not converted and were retired. There were also a few new 4-die machines placed on-stage. Currently, there are forty-five $1.00 preloaded zinc penny machines at Walt Disney World that would cost a total of $180 to get all of the designs. Keep in mind that one of these machines that was at Pin Central at Epcot is currently off-stage due to the construction at this park.
